HDCD DSP Plugin non-HDCD Amplification Happening

I've noticed on a few of my non-HDCDs the +6 Amplification is happening.

Some of my older Beatles CDs I've noticed this amplification effect. It's only happening on my older non-volume leveled weaker sounding CDs. Since all the newer CDs are volume hammered there's no amplification being done.

If you do not have the HDCD effect then the track is quieter than if you have with?

The HDCD amplification effect is happening with the quieter non-HDCDs.

These non-HDCDs are not showing up as HDCD but the audio is being amplified just like a HDCD.

When I remove the HDCD plugin everything is normal.

The resulting file is 24 bit? (for the non HDCD tracks which are amplified)

I'm sorry Spoon, I should have provided more info.

When ripping a non-HDCD to MP3 is when I'm noticing the 6+ amplification happening. This is happening on all tracks when it does happen.

Try ripping to wave as a test, the amplification would only take place if the file was 24 bit (after HDCD had processed it).
