Question about importing a compilation cd....

Hey guys thanks for all your help. I am new and I just want to make sure I am doing it right.
Anyway,

I just ripped a compilation cd into my music folder. I would NOW, like to move it to winamp. How do I move the file and keep all the artists and albums together instead of being scattered alphabetically?:D

It is all ID tags which are internal to the file, Winamp should pick up fine.

That's what I thought, but I ripped the Twilight soundtrack (I know, I know!!) and all the artists are scrabbled. Any idea on a fix?

did you give each track of the album a COMPILATION tag (with a value of "1")?

I had compilation checked, but what do you mean about a value of 1?

If you have compilation checked then it will write compilation of 1. For all I know Winamp might not support grouping compilations, you would have to check.

don't know about winamp, but most players have this as an option you must set (e.g., itunes, SqueezeboxServer, etc.)
