Trialling dbpa cd ripper

Hi,
I am new to cdpoweramp, i am however not new to cd ripping, indeed i have used various rippers over the years and have enjoyed using exact audio copy for the last 6years or so. Why am i looking at changing my ripper - time, or lack of it.
This programme seems to be very good all round, including automatic collecting of album art, and multiple transcoding off the bat - as opposed to fiddling with MAREO or batches in foobar.
I do have some small niggles that i am sure are me over looking something.

1. Several albums didn't have big enough album art jpgs so i scanned in the cover - dbpa didn't use the larger scanned image and instead still used the tiny automatically fetched one.

2. date of album i really like to only have the year - i duly picked 'force no date on year' option - dbpa still used full date.

3.&4. i neither like track/total tracks nor disc/total discs and duly picked 'track number without track count' and 'disc number without disc count' - dbpa still enabled both of these options.

Finally, i have several 100+ disc classical box sets, does dbpa allow for 3 figure disc counts ?

When adding a scanned image you have to click - to remove the smaller one first.

2) This force option is only applied when the files are being written, not shown in CD Ripper

Possible bug noted.
5) You can right click on a track item and apply a track offset of +100

Thanks for the speedy response, i have been doing a fair amount of ripping today.
1. Album art problem solved
2. I didn't do a rerip of album after selecting to show year only, that now works fine.
3&4 appear to still show disc 1/2 etc but rip correctly as with point 2 showing full date but ripping only the year.
5. i meant i had, say 160cd boxset of bach, which i wish to show folder name such Bach (2002) (CD151) album name - this doesn't matter in retrospect - i will be manually naming these to suit my naming criteria.

I do have another question though, i have had a look about via google for the answer to this but haven't come up with a ready answer.
I tried to do some various artist ripping with little success, i kept getting multiple 1 track folders each with a different artist from the album
It seems i need to figure out how to parse a command containing [IFCOMP], [IFVALUE] etc in the output location.

For normal albums i use "[artist] ([year]) [album]\[track] - [title]"
to give e.g. folder - "Beautiful South (2007) BBC Sessions (CD1)", with tracks e.g. "01 - You Keep It All In.flac"

For various artist albums i want to have the folder structure to be "VA (YYYY) Album name" and track structure "track - track artist - track name"

Is there any provision for automatic grabbing of lyrics to insert as tags, or will there be in future releases ?

Been overall a real pleasure to just be able to slap a disc in, quickly scan a cover in if needed and let the programme rip to my flac, mp3 and ogg folders in one fell swoop.

Once i get my various artist problem ironed out i shall be happily registering

Now just need to figure out how to skin up foobar nicely.....

ok thanks, i'll find a way if its easy to do lyrics (foobar plugin maybe) ill do them - otherwise no biggie.

Can you help me out on how to get dbpa to name various artist albums as i indicated, or a URL to explain how to get [IFCONP] etc schemas to work ?

On the naming page, set to default, and try by switching the example compilation check box on and off, you can rename the 'naming' to suit once you see how it is working.

woo hoo i think i got it licked.

[IFCOMP]VA ([YEAR]) [album]\[track] - [artist] - [title][][IF!COMP][album artist] ([year]) [album]\[track] - [title][]

looks to be working to give
compilation >> VA (YYYY) Album name\NN - track artist - track name
regular >> album artist (YYYY) Album name\NN - track name

I must say it wasn't easy to wrap my head around, especially with the [ifvalue] shoved at the beginning of the default setting. Im not going to bother with [IFMulti] as i can rename the album as CD1, CD2 as an album needs it.

May i suggest some worked examples in a FAQ for those who may similarly feel like bashing their collective heads against a brick wall ?
