    Need a new burner...What should I get.

I am using an old Plextor external...I mean old...PX-712UF usb, firewire external since the drive in my lappy has long ago died.

Decided to take the drive out of my desktop which is a Lite-On 20x LightScribe drive to see if it would rip faster than the Plextor which was ripping them at 24x max.

First CD it ripped the first five songs and then started the error routine. I disconnected it and the Plextor ripped it no problem.

Is there a specific drive out there that would be considered the best for ripping music with ???

Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

For a proven fast internal drive I would suggest a LG GH24NS50.
    It costs about $20 now.

If your wanting to go external your speed will be limited to your transfer rate.
