year settings

am very new to this.

want the year only, not year, month, day to show.

in options, metadata options, ticked 'force no date on year.
but when i insert discs they still list year, month and day.

does ticking the option i ticked overide this when i actually rip? or do i need to keep reviewing each cd and changing to just year before i rip.

or do i need to choose some other option

This option is applied when the file is written, not when it is displayed in CD Ripper.
