mp3 won't play in the car

New to all this so a bit of help would be good!

I purchased dbpower ref for copying all my cds to flac onto a hard drive for playing through a squeezbox touch.

Once complete i batch converted all my albums to MP3 for using on my ipod.

All the above as worked well with little problems.

Now i wan't to burn the odd album onto cd-r for in the car, i simply copy paisted onto my disc drive and it copied fine, i checked it played and it did.

When i get to my car the disc won't read and then play, am i doing something wrong?

What is the make and model of the CD Player? Does the CD Player read any other CD-R discs?

I've tried 3, my becker grand prix the wifes 2007 freelander2 and my mates 2006 range rover.

All are supposed to play MP3

Any ideas:o

Can you confirm that the CD Player in the car can read CD-R discs. Check the manual for readable CD formats.

Yep they defo play cd-r --i checked by creating a cd from itunes and they play fine.

I don't like using itunes unless it's for the iphone/ipod BUT the wife loves having the 6cd player packed with mp3.

I'm new to db but found it great for ripping my music collection to flac and then ripping the full collection to MP3 for making cd-r. I'm trying to do it by just dragging the mp3 file to the cd drive, when it's finished ripping i can play it on my lap top but then wont play in the car.

I must be doing it wrong!!

Try creating a gapless mp3 disc.

Are you sure iTunes is creating a CD-R disc? It may be creating an Audio CD i.e. CDDA disc which is different to a CD-R disc with files on it.

I've got all my albums batch ripped in mp3 but when i did this it just gave me a missive list of songs not in album folders or album within artist (if that makes sense) I want to make a mp3 disc with say 3 albums in folders by artist, please how can i do this, do i first need to put my big list of mp3 into album folders if so how.

In CD Writer you can configure how it will organise the mp3 files based on the tag information they hold. This is similar to how the CD Ripper can be configured to organise ripped tracks. Check out the CD Writer help for more info.
