    AccurateRip and Errors

Most CD's I am ripping Secure with C2 Error Pointers and AccurateRip are fine.

Occasionally I get a CD that gives an error for all tracks ripped:

Reached Maximum 1 Unrecoverable Frames For This Track

and all tracks are ripped insecurely and the Rip Status says "Error" on all tracks.

What do I do in this scenario? Do I just leave it or is there something else I can do to get a more secure rip?

    TIA.

It is quite odd to have a disc which gives errors on all tracks, try disabling c2 pointers to see if AccurateRip can verify.

The CDs are Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs and Barrett. Both have the copy controlled logo on the discs.

That is why then, they have intentional errors in the bit stream (which your normal CD player would silence), in effect every track has scratches which cannot be recovered from.

You could try ripping in burst mode.

On some copy-protected discs, I have had luck by temporarily turning off C2.

Thanks for that Spoon. Can you specify the best CDRipper settings for Copy Controlled CDs?
