Hi Everybody
I am new at this forum, and I hope that some of the experienced dbPowerAmp users can help me out when it comes to setting up dbPowerAmp for ripping to MP3 and FLAC.
I purchased dbPowerAmp recently and setup the cd ripper for ripping to FLAC according to the recommendations at http://www.dbpoweramp.com/cd-ripper-setup-guide.htm. Things seem to be working fine now, but I would like to know whether there are any settings for FLAC ripping that you would recommend that I alter. I am really interested in getting good quality cd rips, so any piece of advice would be welcome.
I better mention that I am planning on using the FLAC files for playing music wirelessly on my stereo. I am gonna buy the Sonos ZP90 Zone Player in the near future, connect it to my stereo and control it with my iPhone. The music that I mainly want to play on the new Sonos system will be FLAC files stored on my laptop, until I get around to buying a NAS for storing my digital music.
I am mentioning the Sonos system because someone at this forum might have special recommendations for me when they know that I am going to plac the FLAC files on the Sonos system. I really hoping that I am not doing anything wrong with my FLAC ripping that will cause my problems once I get the Sonos system.
Now it has been all about FLAC so far, however, I am also interested in advice on setting up dbPowerAmp for MP3 ripping. I need MP3 files for my iPhone, and consequently I wont stick to FLAC alone. I guess I need to create a separate profile for MP3 ripping in dbPowerAmp, but how do I set it up. Any advice would be welcome. A link to a good setup guide for MP3 in dbPowerAmp would also be fine.
Best regards
Sybrandt.
