    Version 14

I am trying to determine if I need to upgrade from 13.5 to 14, but I am not seeing much to sway me. I only have two cores, don't use album art, and the present AccurateRip seems to work fine as is.

    Somebody sell me?

      Yes... and I'll bite.

You're going to pitch me the built-in Explorer Property & Thumbnail Handler?

      ;-)

Is there no way to bypass all the AccurateRip stuff and do just a simple test and copy matching CRC routing à la EAC?

For me AccurateRip v2 would be enough on its own, the next time you rip a disc which says it is in accuraterip then after ripping there is all X AR (3), you do not get this with AccurateRip 2.

          I bought the $18 upgrade.

I do not like the rating stars coming over from "the Cloud," but, otherwise, 14 seems better than 13.5.

it can show you this metadata field, but you don't have to see it (unclick it in the ripper title bar settings for all the shown fields). And you don't have to write this field....uncheck it in the settings.

Is this effect also responsible for "Extra Metadata" that is being written that has nothing to do with my CD? I don't like all that irrelevant data being written and it is misleading.

I ripped New Order's "Low-Life," which I tagged as rock. The "extra metadata" has "college rock." WTF.

Please tell me where -- specifically -- I uncheck these extraneous fields I do not want.

This "added" data are misleading and were not an issue in 13.5.

                Thank you.

                  Re: Version 14

I've been anticipating the release of R14 but most importantly can't wait for the FLAC CUE Sheet image codec.

If I don't buy the Family Pack of R14, will I be able to re-install R14 with a single PC license when/if I wipe clean and reformat my PC and install Windows XP from stratch?

As I might have to but would like to install and play around with R14 before doing so.

                  Thanks

R13.5 and R12 have always written style, it is nothing new for 4 years.
