    File Name Restricted Characters Request

    Spoon...

This is a nice feature in R14. However, it would be much more desirable and useful if the feature supported multiple characters in the Replace With column.

Most of the single characters on a US English keyboard sometimes appear in tune or song titles, so restricting the replacement character to a single character is undesirable. There is possibility of confusion when, for example, a "/" is replaced with just a hyphen.

Why not allow multiple characters, specifically blank spaces in addition to legal characters, in the Replace With column. This capability would allow for more legible substitutions while avoiding conflicts with other characters in the folder and file names.

    Example:

If TITLE=Arkansas Traveler/Fork-in-the-road, then the track file name, instead of this:

    07-Arkansas Traveler-Fork-in-the-Road.flac,

could instead be formatted something like this, at the user's option.

    07-Arkansas Traveler • Fork-in-the-Road.flac

where the entry in the Replace With column was <space><Alt-0149><space> for this example.

    TIA...
