CD Ripper Destination Folder? Newbie Question

Just re-installed dBpoweramp Reference on new computer.
Destination folder not what I expect.
Now on Windows 7.
Multi encoder to FLAC and m4a (to iTunes).
Expect FLAC to create folder for artist, does not seem to create folder for artist. Instead, tracks and cover art appear in folder where I expect to see a new folder ("artist") appear.
Has happened to 2 albums.
Similar issue going to iTunes, tracks and cover art directly in the folder "automatically add to iTunes". With multiple albums, this would appear to cause a problem with cover art (cover art for multiple albums with the same filename "folder") Can't remember from old computer if folders were created in "automatically add to iTunes")

I suspect I have not correctly set configuration, but don't know what to do.

You would set the folder using the Output to on the Multi-Encoder settings page for the encoder.

I think I set the output folder correctly:

FLAC encoder:

Music\FLAC Files\[artist]\[artist] - [title]

{the "[artist]\[artist] - [title]" portion is not changeable in the version I purchased.}

m4a Nero (AAC) encoder:

Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes\[artist]\[artist] - [title]

{the "[artist]\[artist] - [title]" portion is not changeable in the version I purchased.}

I don't see folders established for [artist] at either output location.
What I think I see is:

"Music\FLAC Files\[artist] - [title]" for each track
and
"Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes\[artist] - [title]" for each track

My recollection is that before my older computer died, that this worked as I expected under Windows XP.

Perhaps I've got something tangled up with the Windows 7 Libraries?

You require Reference to do dynamic naming.

I don't think I 'm looking for dynamic naming.

I'm trying to understand why folders named "[artist]" were not created.

Is creation of folders named "[artist]" part of dynamic naming?

I'm of the opinion that dynamic naming is the ability to change the "[artist] - [title]" file name to some other pattern. Which I don't need to do. That default pattern is just fine with me.
