No CD Drive Found

I'm trying out db to rip my entire collection of CDs no surprise there. Problem is I can rip the CD with my Trial of db on my desktop computer fine but my laptop a VAIO with a Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500S ATA Device isn't detected for under the dBpoweramp CD Ripper. I did try to update to the newest drivers Version: 6.1.7600.16385 is the current but still a no go. I need to be able to rip cds really anywhere.

When it comes to ripping or burning CD how good is an external device for the task. I know if I have it connected with esata it is accentually an internal device as far a data throughput but I only have a external enclosure available for a Pata device on the way.

Guess I'm move of a novice then I though where is the beta R14 located, I've only found the music converter and I'm looking for the ripper.

Figured it out I though it was just the Music converter R14 beta but its the ripper as well thank you sir it works with my drive just fine I'll be sure to purchase dB as soon as 14 comes out.
