VBR 240 vs CBR 320 vs ABR 320

    Hi,

I always want to know why the VBR with dbpoweramp is limited at 240kbps when you rip a CD to mp3. Why the program can't rip at VBR 320. Is there any particular reason?

Is that mean that VBR 240 give the same quality of sound as CBR 320 or ABR 320.

If different, then which one is the best in term of sound quality?

    Thanks

320 is the maximum bit rate that can be stored in convention mp3. So 320 VBR is technically impossible.

A 240 vbr may use up to 320kbps when needed on complex passages, but all said and done the average will be ~240.

So to answer your question, technically 320cbr has the best sound quality. IMO, could you hear the difference and is it worth the wasted space, No and No.
