OPTION: Burst Mode If No Accurate or Not In AR -> Secure Mode

Is it possible to setup dbpoweramp so that:

if track not in accurate rip db
    rip secure
    else
    rip burst
if rip is not accurate then
    rip secure

    Is it?

Isn't this essentially what "secure" setting for ripping does. It does burst, compares to accuraterip, and if a match, you're done. If not a match it does additional work, depending on how you've set things up.

Maybe i'm wrong, but it does not looks like it. As far as i can tell, secure rips all twice.

no idea. But dbpa is designed for the more sophisticated user who I presume would check out all the potential options. Folks that go with "default" without thinking are probably using itunes or WMP and ripping with default settings. And by the way, burst with dbpa is no worse than default ripping with those rippers and probably even better....

no. keep looking at the options under secure ripping.

In my setup, if the disk is in accuraterip, and I get a match on the initial read, I'm done. If I don't get a match I have up to 3 additional reads.....

and of course my entire discussion assumes one has the registered version that does the "ultra secure" ripping option. Not sure this is available in the free version.

I have the registered, but non-reference one.

So, what you are saying is that secure mode would try to rip once in burst, if matches, ok, if not, would try to rip into secure mode?

                Or, as i said:

                Code:
if track not in accurate rip db
                  rip secure
                else
                  rip burst
if rip is not accurate then
                      rip secure
EDIT: i'm sorry, but i just introduced a CD that says "CD IN AR DB", but it is ripping twice anyway.

                    You mean this Spoon?

So why do i see all the CDs being ripped twice? Maybe a configuration thing?

EDIT: OK, i watched more closely, and it looks like it works like that! First pass, if matches, encodes!
