    Newcomer questions

    1. Ripping classical discs: composer appears in "artist" field; artist appears in Meta "soloists" field (which does not appear in the Sonos program). How can I convince CD Ripper to put the artist in the "artist" field?

    2. Rip speed is mysterious. I am using Burst (Secure repeated tracks, often 3 times and then went to frames). Still, with Burst some CDs rip only x7 or x8.

    3. I experimented with manual edits of Meta fields. CD Ripper remembers my edits even after I eject and reload the CD. How can I get it to forget my prior edits of a CD?

    Thanks.

    Re: Newcomer questions

    1) What is in the composer field?

    2) It is the CD drive which decides the ripping speed based on how it can read the last track.

    3) It will only remember the last 20 discs.

You could use the DSP effect ID Tag Processing and map the soloists tag to artist. But it would only have to be activated for classical CDs.

            Re: Newcomer questions

I typed in "Soloists" and mapped to Artist and it did not work.
I entered "Conductor" from the drop down list and mapped to Artist and it did not work.

When does a DSP take place?

It did not work. Do I need to do something besides adding the ID Tag map? (set an Option or ...)

Make sure you have Options >> ID Tag & Meta set to write soloists.
