Playing 24 bit flac files through a Denon ARV-3808ci

When I rip a sample size 24 bit cd to flac 24 bit, I'm unable to play the file through my Denon ARV-3808ci. The music has static. Has anyone similiar problem?

Also, if I remove HDCD (16 bit)and rip to flac, the file plays ok, with HDCD (24 bit) enabled the file has static and you cannot listen to the file.

Perhaps the denon cannot play 24 bit flacs?

Ya, I think the Denon cannot play 24 bits flac's. I posted this issue to find out if anyone else has equipment issues (with Denon or other brands) playing 24 bit flac's.

I forgot to tell you how much I love your product. It has openned up my world being able to converter formats and not lose quality. I dumped iTunes and EAC and purchased dbpoweramp and Media Monkey and have gained control of my music collection. Thanks.
