DB Poweramp cannot read a CD

I have just purchased DB Poweramp reference, and am re-ripping my CDs into FLAC. One of my CDs cannot be read - it is "The Ver Best of the Beach Boys" ... I get a message in the CD ripper window saying "Reading CD", which reverts to "Insert Audio CD" after some time.

Any thoughts?

Look in Windows Explorer, does the computer recognize the disc as an audio CD?

It should show Track01, Track02 in the listing for CD drive.

Sorry for the delay in replying - thought I'd subscribed and that no one had responded!

Thanks for the help - had another go today and discovered that the CD was covered in jam. Quick clean and it ripped straight away. My bad.
