    c2 - Re-Rip frame setting

    Great product!

Configuring the dBpoweramp CD Ripper, I have tried to activate the c2 support. Trying with a painted CD as defined the guidance my computer confirmed my CD drive supports c2, but when ripping I then get errors because it has to rerip a quantity of frames exceeding 100. Now it is clear I can just increase the value, and setting it to 500 it then works fine, but my question is whether it then would be better just to leave out the c2 check?

I don’t believe the original cd drive in my computer is a good quality so another option is to buy a better one.

No, the abort option is nothing to do with c2, just there to speed up ripping (as normally if there are 163 bad frames, you are not going to get a secure rip).

      Okay, thanks.

Replacing the original HP drive with an new PLEXTOR drive has solved the problem. I have now ripped 20 CD’s without any failures.
