    File naming ';' character

    Hi,

I just got registered on dBpoweramp Reference after a few days testing. I've looked at various threads in this forum but couldn't find the answer...

When I rip a CD using dBpoweramp CD Ripper, the ':' characters contained in the file names are automatically replaced by ';' character after ripping. How can I change this as I'd like to get ':' replaced by '-' instead of ';'.

    Thanks a lot

CD Ripper >> Options >> Metadata & ID Tags

there is a character / word replacement, but it does it for idtags as well as filenames.

@Spoon. Thanks for tip, it seems to work fine with character replacement option :smile2:

I have tried this a number of times, but it does not work for me. I want to replace the ; character with an &, however, this does not happen when it writes the filenames. I have changed it where Spoon indicates, however, it doesn't change anything. Its really quite annoying, considering I am in the middle of a major ripping job.

';' is used internally to split multiple artists. If it was in an album name for example it would be replaced.
