Typing in metadata

I must be missing something really obvious, but I'm trying to enter the metadata in a compilation cd and I can't seem to enter the artist or genre. The title is fine, but when I click the genre or artist, it does not allow me to enter anything.

Is there something obvious I'm missing here?

If you press Ctrl+M, you should have a screen where you can enter track info. There should be a check mark to view track artists.
