    External ripping drives

    Hi all

    First post for me........

I haved decided to bring myself into the digital age, and gone and bought a Linn Akurate DS, along with all the networking gear, NAS, switch, router etc etc.

Had heard dbpoweramp was the best ripping engine to ensure high quality bit perfect rips. But run macs in the house. Have taken the plung and installed Windows 7 Home Premium via bootcamp so can now dual boot to Windows.

Now having Windows I have installed dbpoweramp along with Mediamonkey. The question I have for the forum is should I plan to use the super drive in my Macbook Pro or look to buy a USB external drive, and if so which one?

    Many thanks

    Re: External ripping drives

If AccurateRip verifies the rips then they are 100% perfect and you do not need another drive (for those discs).
