    upsidedown question marks

I notice on some of my albums that I have ripped to flac where songs are a question, like do you love me? the question mark is upside down when I view it in windows. What is causing this? When I have albums with songs like this loaded in mp3tag, the song will show with the upside down question mark in the file name column, but in the title column, the question mark is normal. When I try to change the question mark to normal in the file name column, I get a windows sound, like when one presses the wrong key on the keyboard, & I cannot change it. So I just delete the upside down question mark from the file name column. The song then looks normal in windows, but with no question mark.

    Re: upsidedown question marks

question mark, like a ":", or a "\" can't be used in a filename in Windows, they are "special" characters. So the software is replacing it (as it does with the other characters) with something that can be used. ":" becomes ";"

it can be used in the tags tho, which is why you are seeing this difference.
