    wording for year field in meata data window

    I notice when I look up albums in amazon for cover art & dates, it has an original release date field, I would like to use this for my albums I am ripping to flac. I also notice in amazon that it also has another date separate from the original release date. how should I word mine?

    right now it just has year. I could use;

    Original Release Date; for this date that I look up in amazon

    Year; for the other date I see in amazon

    or should I go with;

    Original Release Date;

    and

    Date; instead of year for the other date?

    In amazon, they do not have a another year or date field, they just put the date next to Audio CD in ( ), & just have original release date.

    It would depend on your playback software, the majority will only use a single Year, you can decide what it contains though.

      I mostly use windows media player & itunes. Occasionally I use winamp, because it is currently the only program I have that will play flac files.

      will my wording cause problems?

        Your players would not even recognize the new tag you have created.
