After installing reference 13.4, I get a message saying I have an old version of the CLI encoder. But downloading and installing the new version as directed, doesn't change the version number shown (cli 3) or the prompt to upgrade to version 4 when I press check for updates.

The CLI encoder is not part of the Reference install, see codec central. -
Re: CLI encoder version 3 vs. version 4 bug
The problem is that installing CLI encoder does not upgrade the version number (iy stays at version 3), so when it checks for updates it still thinks you need a newer version (version 4). So I'm infinitely upgrading (or infinitely getting a message that I need to upgrade the cli encoder).
To clarify: the problem with the upgrade warnings only started occurring after installing 13.4. (CLI encoder was installed with 13.3, before upgrading to 13.4)Last edited by TechVsLife; March 12, 2010, 02:06 AM.Comment
