want accented characters in tags, but not in file & directory names

Several of my CDs have accented album titles or track titles. I've never gotten codepage issues sorted out between Windows (where I rip) and Linux (which I use for my Squeezebox server). So my compromise has been to leave the accented characters in at rip time, and then manually convert (á à ä â) in the file and directory names to "a", and so on.

A while ago in the squeezebox forums spoon posted that dBpoweramp can do this kind of character translation automatically at rip time via a configuration file (see http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51539). My question now is, which configuration file? Thanks in advance.

I do not think it is possible to do for the filename only.

Thanks for the quick response, even if it's not what I hoped for. Please consider it a feature request. In the meantime I can use an mp3tag action to do the conversion, but it would be much nicer to do it in dBp.
