no AccurateRip with CD-R's?

Whenever I try to rip from a CD-R I get a msg that the CD is not in AccurateRip. This even though I get meta data which shows the disc has been recognized. Works fine with regular cd's.

CD-R's have been made using an Alesis Masterlink with no editing.

Any reason/solution to this?

To clarify a bit more...
I took a pressed disc and AccurateRip recognized it. Made a copy of that disc and dbPoweramp reports disc is not in database, but meta data still shows.

Your copy would have to be read and written with the correct drive offsets for it to be identical.

OK... so I tried to rip with secure at default settings and it was going to take 2 days to get through a disc.

So I set everything according to your recommendations in the setup guide and it just errors out. However the log reads as if it got two passes identical:
