cd ripper does not see CDs inserted in the drive

    Hello,
I'm using dbpoweramp since september 2009. Up to today I have not got any problems, but today ...
Here's short description of problem :
    a) Operating system (Windows Vista) sees CD-ROM drive and its content
(i.e. - when I insert a music CD, I can play it using MS-Media Player, for example, I have no problems with reading data CDs and DVDs as well)
    b) when I start dbPoweramp it asks me to insert CD into drive - it does not recognizes anything ...
    c) I can open and explore CD at OS level.
    d) I can even start Music Converter and convert CDDA files into, for example, FLAC - so the only thing which does not work is cd ripper. It seems that it does not like Miles Davis, as problem has started to appear during his "Complete Columbia Album Collection" box :smile2: (fortunately I've managed to rip some of these records before this problem has appeared:smile2.
Have you any idea about what's going on and how to solve this problem ?
    Thanks in advance

If this disc has only one track, install R13.4 from the beta section of this forum.

      Hello,

No - it doesn't see ANY CDs - regardless of their number of tracks.
Although - the first time when this issue has appeared - there was single track CD in the drive. Since this time it does not see any CDs ...
OK - I'll try to install version You've mentioned and will send an update
      thanks

        Hello again.
I've just installed beta version of dbpoweramp.
OK - it can read CDs, but there's another "funny" issue :
it does not recognize title and artist :
instead of Miles Davis "Pangaea" it displays G.G. Allin "War in my head".
It is possible, that this CD is innaproprietary tagged (i.e. it has no tags at
all) as MS Media Player displays "unknown artist" and "unknown album" infos.
Is it possible that in that case this beta version displays random data ? :-)

It will not be random, try a popular disc and see if tagging is correct.
