    Advance option - communication setting

Interesting problem with my computer drives when I try to set the secure ripping options.

My Plextor PX-810SA (sata burner) only rips insecured tracks when I select SCSI Pass Through (STP) as the communication option. When I select SCSI Pass Through Read (D8), I get secured rip without problems.

Although, when using the D8 option AccurareRip cannot calculate the drive offset value. I get a message the Key disc doesn't match the one in the database, no matter which disc I'm using.

Now my other drive, LG GSA-H55N connected via IDE cable, doesn't have a problem with any of the communication settings.

Can anyone tell me the difference between SCSI STP and SCSI D8?

    UPDATE

After ripping a couple discs with the STP D8 option for Communication, turns out that nothing gets ripped. All files are less than 100kb although the rip returns a secured confirmation and log file says it's all fine.

Now, using the Windows Internal option as Communication makes it work fine. Note that I am the administrator on my machine and login as such. So, no account restriction here.

This is still only happening with my Plextor drive. LG works fine. Anyone has a clue?

Try disabling c2 error pointers? (for STP)

Spoon, it did the trick even if I got a positive match when I tested with a disc for c2 error.

        Thanks.

It either works or not, and in this case it seems it is not.
