CD Ripper won't recognize audio discs

I've been using dbPowerAmp for years to rip my CDs, and am currently using R13.3 Ref. on Windows 7 x64.

Up until yesterday, everything worked fine.

However, now, when I insert an Audio CD into my drive and attempt to run dbPowerAmp CD Ripper, it says "Insert Audio CD Into:", and will not recognize the CD no matter how many times I press "Retry".

The CD is showing up as an Audio CD in My Computer, and I can use Windows Media Player to rip the CDs, so it looks like the problem is not with the OS or the drive.

    Any ideas?

Try changing the Communication (on the option page, to Windows Built in).

      Hi

I have exactly the same problem as described by Dorfman!

dBpoweramp worked with out any problems for over a year, now it has a hard time to recognize audio cd's !

Using R13.3 on US-WinXP-SP3 fully pathed.
