Re: dbpoweramp CD Ripper stopped working
This is happening only when I put some CDs in but it works with others. Really no reason for this that I can figure. I tried to rip a five disc compilation and got through three discs but it would not work for the last two discs. I got the same error and the program had to be shut down. Please help -
Re: dbpoweramp CD Ripper stopped working
Have you enabled the CD-Text metadata option? if so un-enable it.Comment

Re: dbpoweramp CD Ripper stopped working
I dont think I enabled anything. I just downloaded this program and followed the setup directions. I dont know where I would check the CD Text option. I have compressed both live concerts and commercial CDs but it is strange that some will automatically give me the error and shut the program down but others will not. Any help is appreciated.Comment

Re: dbpoweramp CD Ripper stopped working
Two possibilities:
Something is altering the metadata as it is retrieved and this is crashing the libraries (such as AMG),
Or it is the reading of the actual CD which is causing issues.
First open CD Ripper without any disc in the drive, and uncheck all the metadata options (AMG, GD3, MusicBrainz, Freedb), then insert a disc which crashed it previously, does it crash? if not then try selecting Meta Data >> Retrieve from and find which one is causing the issues.Comment
