CD Ripper does not detect my CDs

I have just tried to rip my first load of CDs. CD Ripper failed to detect about a third of the CDs I tried to rip. They would play and rip fine in Windows Media Player, but dbPoweramp CD Ripper simply showed the 'Insert Audio CD into...' window.

The correct drive was definitely selected in this window (I only have one).

The CDs are standard commercial audio CDs, not CD-Rs.

I have just spoken to a friend who has also recently installed this software and she is having exactly the same problem.

Please can someone help?

CD Singles? if so you need R13.4 from the beta section of this forum.

After inserting the disc, look in Windows explorer, it should show the dvd drive as being an Audio CD, rather than a drive.
