Slow encoding to FLAC

Today I updated dbPoweramp to 13.3 and also the FLAC encoder to the newest one.
Now encoding is extremely slow.
OS: XPProSP3
CPU AMD64 X2 5000+
RAM 4GB
It seems to me as if the CPU does not wake up from energy saving mode and remains at 1000 MHz instead of switching to 2600.
Has anybody made a similar experience ?

amd have a meter where you can look at the cpu speed.

R13.2 would not change the cpu core speed any differently than r13.3 (which was only a bug fix).

Encoding to flac, should only take about 3 seconds per track, the HDD is he slow part.

It needs minutes to encode a single file to Flac. :cry:
My HD is a Velociraptor, not really the slowest one.

Make sure no dsp effects are running.

No DSP Effects running. Don't use this stuff.
Tried a complete deinstall and reinstall of all components, no change.
Need probably cleaning of registry after deinstall.
Will try again with deinstall registry cleaning and reinstall.

Thanks. Haven't tried that yet, but in trying to isolate the problem, I discovered something interesting.

First, my configuration: I am running dBpoweramp R13.3 on a Windows 7 machine, ripping CDs to a ReadyNAS disk. The ReadyNAS is connected to my router via Ethernet cable.

My computer is connected to my router via wireless LAN. CD reading performance seems fine (dBpoweramp reports about 15x rip speed), but conversion speed to FLAC varies; part of the file may convert in less than a minute, but then the codec will sit there for many minutes at some percent complete, and after some many minutes decide to continue on. Time to rip a CD is often 1 hour or more. In addition, if I try cancelling the rip, I get "cancelling" status, but dBpoweramp hangs and I cannot quit the program except by going into Windows task manager (which lists dBpoweramp as "not responding") and forcing the program to end.

Now, here's the odd thing: I discovered that when I connect my computer to my router via Ethernet cable and disable the wireless LAN connection, dBpoweramp runs fine. I can rip and encode an entire CD in less than 5 minutes, typically. Additionally, the "cancel rip" and program termination controls ("X" in the upper right corner) work just fine.

So, does this sound like a registry problem, or something else?

With FLAC the ID tags are at the front, which means to tag the file, if it is shuffled up to make room for the tags then the whole file has to be read, and over wireless this will be slower than ethernet, which is slower than a local HDD.
