    Periodic Crashes

After ripping approximately 10-20 CDs to FLAC (max compression) on a single boot-up of Windows XP, the CD Ripper will crash/freeze on me. Usually multiple cores of the processor are working.

The crash will freeze the CD Ripper but other applications will in general work. I usually have FireFox 3.5.3 running but I think that's irrelevant.

However, I have to use Task Manager to close the CD Ripper and I have to do a hardware reset to reboot.

    System:

    AMD 9950 quad-core proc
    Asus MB
    4 GB DDR2 RAM
    Windows XP SP3 32-bit
    Version 13.3 dBpoweramp

No other applications are crashing on this machine.

    Thanks.

A hardware reset sounds like there is something low level in the drivers which is miss-behaving.

      Re: Periodic Crashes

However, as I said, no other applications cause crashes.
