In the log I see "c2 dropped N". What does the N represent?

I am not 100% sure but I think the 'N' represents the frame. I asked a similar question in this thread http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=19425 and Spoon aswered it (sort of). Unfortunately I did not fully understand his response and never followed up. Maybe if he checks this thread and answers I will get a better understanding
