CD Ripper Processor Usage

I am looking at buying a new PC, and my question concerns what will speed up CD Ripper the most.

How many cores will CD Ripper use?

Will a high speed Dual code outperform a lower speed Quad core?

Assuming hard drive / cd drive / memory speed is equal for both

Normally 2 cores, if ripping to lossless.

CPU is not the bottleneck (the CD drive is).
