Is it possible to store an offline CD databse?

    Hi there folks,

I'm quite new to using dBp...
I've previously been using EAC which a friend suggested to me. So far it's been fine but I prefer the overall look and feel of dBp.
Something my friend showed me recently (seeing how he's a technical know-it-all) with EAC is that you can install a freedb database on your computer which I found quite nifty, allowing you to use it offline yet still have a large database to tag your discs without having to name things yourself.
My question is - does dBp allow such a system aswell - and if so, how?
I don't have much technical knowledge so something easy would be appreciated.

Does this type of system also allow use of Accuraterip or does that require being on the net?

    Cheers

Yes you can, the settings for freedb in CD ripper allow you to point to the database.

    AccurateRip is online only.

Even if you can store freedb locally, you want the metadata from AMG, GD and MusicBrainz (only available online).
