How to rip without metadata, only filenames

    Hello,

How to rip CDs with no metadata, only filenames?

Do I have to delete each tag each time, or is there a "switch" to disable all metadata, and keep only the filenames.

Also, when you rip to wav, with metadata enabled, will dbpoweramp try to write metadata to wav files in some ways, or it just ignores metadata?

    Many thanks,

Insert the DSP effect 'ID Tag Processing' and delete all id tags.

      hi Spoon,

Thanks for the reply. But if I rip to wav, is it really necessary? I am trying to understand if dbpoweramp tries to embed some image art and some tags into wav files or not..

      Many thanks,

It does, you can set it to not through dbpoweramp configuration >> codecs >> advanced

on there set the wave tagging to none.

          Hi Spoon,

I see. This is why there is a few bytes difference between one wav file with metadata, and one wav file without (with that configuration >> codecs >> advanced >> none option checked)?

          Many thanks,

How can you explain the difference between file sizes (a few bytes)?

There would be a title tag?
