I am new to this, please help with music burn

Ok, I have downloaded a few programs including virtual burners, when I open my windows media player and create a burn list and change the drive to the virtual burner and then open my tuneclone program it tells me to associate the m4p, a and mp3 files in my media player software,,,,,,how do I do that?

Nothing, I am on a vista laptop and as I said new to this, I read in its program that it was compatible with media player so.

Are those links under your post intended for me?

Forgive ignorance, I have tried to read up on all of this for the last two weeks.

I am on a laptop with vista and media player 11. If you know or have a list of files needed to use on my system with a virtual burner or other burner program to use that converts the files to mp3 or how to associate the files or somewhere I can read up to learn step by step I would be appreciative.

This is really a support forum for dBpoweramp and illustrate's other software. illustrate offers a very good audio conversion tool. If you are looking for support for WMP11, Microsoft would be a better place.

To associate any file type with a program on Windows, right-click on one of the files in Explorer.

Then choose Open With...

Select your program, and check the "make default" box.

Click OK

Thankyou hitmouse, this is what part of the problem was, EliC I am not having the issue with wmp11 it associating it with the virtual burners. I am reading it step by step but apparently something is still wrong or I am missing it and as I said just looking to burn some music I have downloaded and it is not allowing me to do it. It is drm and m4a etc so from what I read it takes a virtual burner to do it and there is my problem, they say they work well with wmp.

Problem solved, I downloaded CloanCd and it worked great!
