CD is not ripping & encoding

    Hi,

I have purchased the Reference R 13 package, order number is <edit> on 2nd July '09. I am having a serious problem; initially ripping would take place & then there would be no encoding. Now ripping does not take place & the programme hangs sometimes.

How do I solve this problem?

Please never post your order number, others will be able to take it and take over your registered download.

When CD Ripper freezes does the system also freeze? (ie mouse)?

Sorry about that. Yes the mouse freezes & I have to Alt/CTRL/DELETE & stop the task.

So you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE - end process CD Ripper and then the system works as normal? or do you have to restart windows?

            In this case see:

Hi, I just got a new computer (Dell Studio XPS 13), and I'm trying to use dbpoweramp to rip CDs. I ripped one CD successfully last night. Now, whenever I try to rip a CD in any format, my computer locks up, and only a hard reboot will work. It happens within a few seconds (max it has gone has been 40). I also had these

Also check that the computer is not overheating.

                  Coincidence?

As I mention in that post - I could not lock up my Vista or XP machine even if I tried to do it (with user run code, not drivers).

Try ripping to 'Test Conversion' does this work?

As a precaution I am getting my laptop checked up for any bugs. Once I get it back I will try out the suggestion mentioned.

                    Thanks,

                    Arvind

I tried on another lap top & the results are as follows:
I am able to rip & encode with "Burst" setting.
But on "Secure" mode it does not rip even on "Test Conversion"

Perhaps you have c2 pointers checked? and your drive does not support them?

I have checked C 2 pointers is supported by my drive. Even after disabling C2 pointers the result is the same.

Make sure overread is unchecked, c2 pointers unchecked, fua is unchecked.

With Ultra Secure Ripping,FUA & C2 unchecked the cd is ripping & encoding. How do I get it to rip & encode with these checked? The purpose of using dbpoweramp was to get better ripping quality as compared to Foobar.
