Help with ripping HDCD...

Hi,

Noob question. I can't rip my HDCD audio tracks to Apple Lossless format. Is there a setting I'm missing? The error log read: Apple Lossless accepts only 16 bit mono, or stereo. Where can I change this value from 16-bit to 20-bit HDCD?

Our Apple Lossless codec cannot write 20 or 24 bits.

Hmm... Looks like the only option is to convert them to FLAC. Wonder if you can actually convert these HDCD tracks into ALAC using iTunes 8.2 itself. Anyone know?

If you created a 24bit WMA Lossless file, then imported to itunes, yes.
