    SCSI pass through....

    I need to understand something...

The Windows internal mode will use internals functions of the windows operating system and will just "work"

SCSI pass through will be a "low level" direct access to the drive and will provide more informations (like c2...)

but what is the difference between SCSI pass through SPT and the read D8 one??

    Thanks

    Alex

ohh.... and I don't just want the "it is a different way to talk to the drive" answer...

I am technical enough to understand it in details... I have very good knowledge in computers, especially in networking, but I am new in DAE so...

It is simply a different communication set, SPT by default uses MMC or something along those lines, the D8 is an older communication set. So basically the commands sent to the drive are different.
