    Re: Accurate ripping to WAV

If what you say is true, then that would make AccurateRip flawed and useless. I am sure 1000% there is not that flaw.

Try this, rip with and without the mat, both having AccurateRip verification. Then have your friend do a blind test, where he plays the tracks 20 times in random order, you do not know which is which (as you are not looking at the player), if they did sound differently you would be able to identify the 10 with the mat and 10 without the mat.

      Re: Accurate ripping to WAV

Yes, i will.I will post about the results.I have a few friends who will be able to help me with that.
I will ask them to take the blind test too.
Both blind A/B tests and non-blind will be conducted.
It will take some time, as the workspace in my office has to be finished during next week.It is under construction (we placed a new window in the wall).
Then, when the work stops, i will place my system back to its place.
      P.S.
Even if i hear the difference, i still think that does NOT mean AccurateRip has flaws.
I will try to be objective as possible while listening. My system is pretty good (not the best), i think it is good enough to hear a lot of things.
      I still haven't downloaded dbpoweramp...:o
My friend says he has some problems with downloading,he says the program asks to be installed on his PC...:(
I will go to him today and try to work it all out.

OK, I've downloaded the program and installed it.
I love this program. It's great.Features are excellent, and AccurateRip is a superb idea.:komisch7:
I've tried ripping with and without the CD mat...
Both times i've got AccurateRip OK message (checked), even with the same number of verifications (24).I've ripped only 2 tracks with and without the mat.

I think i understood how the program works. When a new CD is inserted (and PC is connected to the internet), then dbpoweramp collects AccurateRip info from the internet. At this point, it is the same whether the CD mat is used or not, because program only collects track number and lenght data - then that data is used to identify the CD.When Cd is identified,AccurateRip data is picked up from the net.
Then, when the ripping is over, dbpoweramp verifies the data from CD drive with the data from the net.

I will again rip these tracks, with and without the mat, when i get a battery power supply for my CD drive. It will be finished in 2-3 days (thanks to my friend SiniĊĦa :komisch9
Then i will listen to all the ripped files.
I will post about the listening test results when my system is in its place again. It will take a week or so...
