    Rip Status Meaning

    Hi,

I just started re-ripping my CDs to lossless format using dBpoweramp. Yeah, no doubt a noob and would like to know what does AR on this rip status mean?

    x AR (5) i Secure

The result above is only for Track 1 and the rest have:

x AR (5) (check symbol) Secure

I re-ripped the whole CD and the result was the same. Value of 5 is I think too low but it says Secure so I'm not sure if this is an acceptable rip. Here's my config and the extraction log of first 2 tracks.

    Re: Rip Status Meaning

Anything above 2 is normally regarded as Accurate. The "i" or warning means that an error could have slipped through, as more clearly stated in the advanced CD ripper help files.
