    Using multiple CD drives consecutively

I have 5 CD drives in my PC and want to know if they can be set to run, one after the other automatically, without selecting each drive after a ripp? I would like to be able to load 5 CDs and program the ripper to ripp all of them without the need to manually select each drive after a ripp.

You could try using the Batch ripper.

Yeah, I figured that out. I did a test of two selected drives (two CDs) and set the converter to m4a. There were 20 tracks to be converted using both CPUs...one track per CPU...and the time showed to take 1.5 hours. I decided to stop the test before the first two tracks were complete because the file names were "Track 01" & "track 02" instead of the actual song names. I haven't yet figured out how to make the files names actual rather than "Track". It would be simple, though, to convert the file names using mp3tag since the tag data is present. But the conversion time is the biggest turn-off. I'm using just two drives and the time to convert 20 tracks is 1.5 hours. I can imagine the time would increace substancially using 5 drives.
