    dBpoweramp vs MP3Tag tag descriptions

    Hi all,
I have just ripped some classical CDs to flac using dBpoweramp. I added a tag called Conductor for each track with a conductor.
When I used MP3Tag to review the tags before committing the tracks to my NAS I noticed that the conductor was listed under PERFORMER, not CONDUCTOR.
I then checked the tags using dBpoweramp and sure enough the conductor showed up under Conductor.
    I am confused.
Which program is showing me the correct tag?
Does anyone else have this anomaly?
    Any ideas?
Does anyone know of a better tag analyzer?
    Thanks,
    Chip

Re: dBpoweramp vs MP3Tag tag descriptions

    See:

    "PERFORMER
The artist(s) who performed the work. In classical music this would be the conductor, orchestra, soloists. In an audio book it would be the actor who did the reading. In popular music this is typically the same as the ARTIST and is omitted."

Sometime I wish other programs would follow the base specification. Anyhow in dBpoweramp you can set to save as conductor of you wish, dBpoweramp Configuration >> Codecs >> Advanced.
