Incorrect CRC in AccurateRip database?

I was ripping my CD's with EAC 0.99b4 when I stumbled upon this issue. I ripped Rotten Sound's Consume to Contaminate EP and I noticed that the first track was different than the one in AccurateRips database while the rest of the album was fine. I thought it was just a small ripping error and so I ripped the entire album again and the same thing happened again.

Artist: Rotten Sound
Album: Consume to Contaminate EP
Format: CD

First press CDEP with mint CD condition. The ripping log shows this:

This is how AccurateRip works, with a confidence of 1, you cannot be sure if your rip has the error, or the other guys. When you submit your results to the database, as there is a conflict neight your or the other guys result for track 1 will appear, until a 2nd person verifies your result or the other guys.

All this means is that one other person ripped this cd (with accurate rip) and that they had a different crc (possibly they had a scratch).

No one else is going to be able to verify it unless they happen to have that particular cd and pressing that you have.

If you did not get any errors, then you can be pretty sure that it is secure.

Also, if you were not already aware, you need a confidence of 2 or more to really make comparisons. With only 1 confidence if you ripped a disc previously, its possible that you are comparing with your own previous rip (and not some one elses).

In lieu of waiting for some else to happen to have the cd and read this thread, you could always try it on a different computer and/or cd drive.
