    Hiccups and Glitches...

    Hi,
I tried a little to find an answer to this elsewhere, but could not, so forgive me if this has been asked 1000 times, but when I rip a CD using dbPowerAmp CD Ripper, I get small hiccups or glitches between tracks and its driving me nuts. of course its only noticeable for tracks that run together, is there any way to avoid this as I seem to have a lot of CDs where songs run together.
    Thanks--

What format are you ripping to? What software are you using to play the files?

I'm ripping to MP3 using [Lame] encoder with Slow (High Quality) setting constant bit rate 192 kbps and playing back the files I hear the glitch in every player I've ever used, Windows Media Player 9 and 10, Itunes and using my Ipod as well as the stereo in my MINI cooper that will play MP3 files directly. I'm on a PC using WindowsXP pro.

mp3 files are not gapless, try ripping to a lossless format, but also you have to use a gapless player (not sure that WMP or iTunes are).

Never would have thought in a million years that it was a limitation of the file format. Thanks for the help.
