Determining Aluminum Macbook Drive Offset (XLD Mac OS X)

    Hi,

So I have one of the new Aluminum Macbooks. System Profiler tells me this about my internal disc drive:

    Model: OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5960S
    Revision: 1APF

Can't find it in the list of drive offsets. I'd like to determine it on my own, but the AccurateRip "instructions" aren't very helpful. How would I go about this in OS X using XLD? (Alternatively, I have XP running in VMWare, if Windoze must be used.)

    Thanks!
    Tyler

XLD cannot auto-find the offset with accuraterip, only EAC or dBpoweramp.

So should I try EAC on my VMWare XP virtual machine?

Okay, I installed EAC in Windows and inserted a bunch of CDs until AccurateRip correctly confirmed the offset.

It determined it was +48 samples. Will this automatically be updated on the site? Or is there a way for me to submit this data?

AR will offer to submit back to its database if you use EAC for a number or weeks, not sure if hter is a submit option in EAC, there is in dBpoweramp.
