    Artist Separator

    Hello

    If I ripp a cd to flac (Vorbis Comments) and this cd is a compilation with several artists the separator is shown in dbpoweramp "; " but afterwards missing in the metadata. Like: "Ken Kolodner; Laura Risk; Robin Bullock" then "Ken Kolodner Laura Risk Robin Bullock" is in the file.

    Also where is it possible to add (for me correct) separator "/" to be actually used?

    All prog. and codecs are uptodate.
    Thanks
    Christian

    Re: Artist Separator

    For Vorbis Comments '/' is not correct, the correct way is to store

    ARTIST=Ken...
    ARTIST=Laura...

    as dBpoweramp is doing.

      Re: Artist Separator

      Thanks, that means there is for every artist a field? How about Squeezecenter? There I have artist separator "/" (for mp3 only)?

      So if I have more artists, they have to be separated with "; " or "/" in dbpoweramp?

      Just another question. In Tag&Rename AlbumArtist is Ensemble - what shoud be used for flac? Albumartis or Ensemble or both?

        It is confusing....

        Every tagging software shows it different. With MP3TAG I can see all the artist tags, but only if I select extended tags.

        If I use dbpoweramps shell extention (Edit ID-Tag) then only one Artist field is shown and the artists again are separated with "; ".

        Confusing, really...

          We show '; ' as a virtual representation of multiple artists as FLAC is different to WMA, and different again from mp3.
