    Ripping gapless discs?

I'm getting that 2 sec gap between tracks on playback from a rip on a gapless rip. Is this likely a player issue or rip issue?

PLay the disc in a normal CD player, if it is gapless there will be no gap between tracks

I think my sentence wasn't clear. I'm trying to rip a source disc that is gapless, but on playing back the rip, there is a gap between songs. Is there a tag in the rip that tells the player that it's gapless or not, or are players unable to play back consecutive ripped (flac) tracks without any audible gap? Thanks!

I'm sure, on Windows, that winamp en foobar2000 play the files gapless.
        Don't know about other players

Thanks Tigerman - so, you don't have to do anything special for ripping then?

no, nothing special. just rip, and if the player supports gapless playback, it will work as expected (itunes, foobar, winamp, etc.).
